Coalition at the Midpoint: An Assessment of the Performance of the Government of National Unity

Two years into South Africa’s Government of National Unity, the Citizens Watch Tracker records an overall implementation score of 34% across 120 policy commitments. While most promises (53%) are in progress and none are broken, only four have been fully implemented. Progress varies across sectors, with significant gaps remaining as 44% of commitments have yet to commence.
